Over £30 million raised in DEC Philippines appeal
Over £30 million has been raised in the DEC Philippines Typhoon appeal in just three days, thanks to an "overwhelming response" from the British public.
Eleven million people have been affected by the disaster, with basic needs of food, medicine, shelter and water still required.
DEC chief executive Saleh Saeed said the agency was "so grateful" to the British public for their generosity and vowed to use the funds to deliver essential needs to victims.
Earlier, the Medecins Sans Frontieres aid agency described the situation in the Philippines as "bleak".
