EDF puts prices up by 3.9%
EDF Energy has become the latest "big six" supplier to increase its gas and electricity prices, as it revealed tariffs will rise by 3.9% in January.

EDF Energy has become the latest energy company to announce a price increase - but it is significantly less than its rivals.
It is the fifth of the "big six" energy companies to raise prices.
Here is how EDF's 3.9 per cent increase compares to other energy suppliers:
- Npower - up by 10.4 per cent
- British Gas - up by 9.2 per cent
- Scottish Power - increase of 8.5 per cent
- SSE - up by 8.2 per cent
- EDF Energy - increase of 3.9 per cent
E.On are the only company yet to announce price changes.
