Man's forgotten £16 investment 'earns him a fortune'
A Norwegian man has earned a fortune after a forgotten £16 investment in Bitcoins swelled to thousands of times its original value in just four years, the Telegraph reports.
In 2009, Kristoffer Koch bought 150 Krone (£16) worth of the currency, which is increasingly used to pay for goods and services on the Internet.
It wasn't until the 29-year-old read an article about Bitcoins that he dug out his account password and discovered the value of his investment had soared to four million Krone (£429,000).
He has now cashed in around a quarter of his investment to buy a flat in central Oslo.
"Not in my wildest dreams could I have imagined that they would have soared like this," the engineer said.
