Report: Putin says Greenpeace activists are not pirates

Russian president Vladimir Putin has said that a group of detained Greenpeace activists are not pirates, but tried to seize an oil platform in the Arctic Sea, Reuters have reported.

The activists had been charged with 'piracy', according to some reports.
