British tourists die in US road crash
A British couple have been killed in a crash on holiday in America, according to reports.
Paddy Heazell and his wife Julyan, said to be aged 77 and 74 and from Snape near Aldeburgh in Suffolk, are reported to have died after the van they were travelling in left off the road and hit a tree.
It is believed the couple, described locally as "community mindedpeople" and "prominent figures", had been hiking inMount Washington Valley in New Hampshire, New England.
The couple were reportedly travelling with Mr Heazell's brother and his wife.
The Foreign Office said: "We can confirm that two British nationals have died, and two British nationals have been hospitalised after being involved in an incident in the United States of which we were made aware on September 9. We are providing consular assistance at this difficult time."
