US Secretary of State John Kerry has told Democrat congressmen that they face a "Munich moment" as they weigh-up whether to approve strikes on Syria.
Obama delays Syria action until after Congress vote
The US will not undertake military action in Syria before it is approved by a vote in Congress, Barack Obama said today.
Republican House Speaker John Boehner said the debate would likely take place on the week of September 9th.
