Violence in Egypt leaves 235 people dead

Violent clashes between supporters of deposed president Mohamed Morsi and Egypt's security forces has left 235 people dead, a state news agency said.

The Associated Press had reported that a total of 278 people were killed, including 235 civilians.

However, a Health Ministry official confirmed the 235 figure and said it included both police and protesters.
