Paris police seize 60 tonnes of Eiffel Tower souvenirs
Paris police have seized 60 tonnes of miniature Eiffel Towers that black-market vendors hoped to sell to tourists.
Police said the tin trinkets, brightly coloured and barely eight centimetres (three inches) high, were seized from a warehouse near Le Bourget airport, north of Paris.
A female Chinese national was in police custody, a spokesperson said.
Authorities claim Chinese gangs import the trinkets from China before selling them to other groups, who control the sellers.
