Toyota recalls 5,409 Yaris and Verso-S cars in the UK

Toyota has announced a recall with th electric power steering system (Vehicle and Operator Services Agency) for some of its Yaris and Verso-S models.

The recall affects 5,409 UK-registered third-generation Yaris models and the Verso-S mini-MPV, built between November 2010 and March 2012.

Toyota has diagnosed a problem in the coil wire used in a relay within the electric power steering system.

Owners will be contacted by Toyota GB within the coming weeks by post and asked to make an appointment to bring their car to their nearest Toyota centre.

Customers can check whether their vehicle is affected using a registration look-up function in the owners section of the main Toyota website.
