Electric car speed record smashed at 204.2 mph

Not many land speed records last for nearly forty years. But the one for the fastest electric car has stood at 170 miles an hour since 1974. But in a race against time as well as against the clock, it was beaten at an airfield in Yorkshire. The new record, 204.2 mph to be precise.
