Powerful tornadoes have struck Oklahoma for the second time in as many weeks and left nine people dead, including a mother and child. Thousands of people have been left without power as the storm caused destruction to properties and vehicles.
A mile-wide tornado has moved west of Oklahoma and is heading towards Oklahoma City, according to Oklahoma television station KFOR.
The tornado's force has overturned vehicles and caused other damage.
The National Weather Service has declared a tornado emergency, which is more severe than a warning, for the area.
