Turkish police have arrested dozens of demonstrators after violent clashes today in the country's capital, Istanbul.
The authorities used tear gas and water cannons against angry protesters, who were occupying a park that had been subject to redevelopment.
An Istanbul court has temporarily suspended the project to uproot trees in the park and build a shopping mall.
Political protests have also been reported in other Turkish cities.
Anti-government protesters and police have been fighting a running battle for control of Istanbul's Taksim Square on an 11th day of clashes.
