Martina Longworth, a partner at Moody & Woolley, said builders discovered Kevin Gough's body in the firm's chimney when they were carrying out work at the Grade II listed building.
She said she could not comment on whether the victim had died as part of a burglary and the sympathies of staff were going out to Mr Gough and his family.

Staff feel the tragedy.
