The Duke of Edinburgh has been awarded one of Canada's highest honours, the Commander of the Order of Military Merit, during a three-day visit to the country. A spokesman has said Prince Philip is "well" despite heavy bruising his eye in recent days.
Buckingham Palace has played down fears about the Duke of Edinburgh's health after he was pictured with a badly bruised eye during his visit to Canada.
The 91-year-old is understood to have woken up with the bruising under his right eye a few days ago. A palace spokeswoman said the Duke was "well".
