The judge in the trial of a couple accused of killing their six children in a house fire in Derby has told the jury he will accept a majority verdict. Mairead Philpott, her husband Mick, and a third defendant all deny manslaughter charges.

Mick Philpott to give evidence in Derby house fire trial

Mick Philpott is to continue giving evidence in his manslaughter trial over the deaths of six of his children after a fire at his home in Derby last year.

Mick and his wife Mairead Philpott appear alongside Paul Mosley charged with manslaughter following the fire on May 11, 2012.

Mairead is expected to give evidence to the court fro the first time today.

All three deny the charges.
