Douglas Adams' life remembered with a Google doodle

The life and work of science fiction writer Douglas Adams has been commemorated by a Google doodle.

Adams was best known for The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, which was later turned into a film.

The doodle marks the anniversary of his birthday, in 1952. He died at the age of 49 after a heart attack.
