Scotland's First Minister Alex Salmond has given his support to the families of the four people who lost their lives in an avalanche in the Scottish Highlands.
He said:
This is an appalling tragedy and our immediate thoughts and prayers are with the families of those who have been lost.
To lose four people from a party of six is truly devastating.
The Scottish Government will provide any support that we can and I would like to thank the police and mountain rescue team for their efforts in these difficult circumstances.
The Democratic presidential candidate may also have shown his cards on his choice of running mate.
The US president also shared a post on Twitter accusing Dr Anthony Fauci of misleading the public over hydroxychloroquine.
