Steven Spielberg's Lincoln leads the Oscar field with a total of 12 nominations, including a nod for Best Picture, in the race for the world's top film honours.
Les Miserables director has 'fingers crossed'
Film director Tom Hooper has said he will have his 'fingers crossed' today as the Oscar nominations are expected.
The director dominated the awards in 2010 with The King's Speech.
It's thought his latest film, Les Miserables, could be given a nod for best picture, along with actress Anne Hathaway and actor Hugh Jackman expected to receive nominations for their roles.
