Clifford: 'Very distressing' claims

Public relations consultant Max Clifford, who was released on bail after his arrest on suspicion of sexual offences, has said he is "going try and make things as normal as possible" and called the allegations "extremely distressing."

Lawyer: Clifford to assist police 'as best he can'

Max Clifford's lawyer Charlotte Harris said he would assist the police "as best he can with their inquiries" following his arrest by detectives investigating the Jimmy Savile sex abuse scandal.

A statement said:

Max Clifford is being interviewed by police.

Mr Clifford will assist the police as best he can with their inquiries.
