Conservative Association Chair: 'I've got better things to do than put maggots on my head'

The Chairman of the Mid-Bedfordshire Conservative Association has reacted with surprise to the news that his local MP is to take part in I'm a Celebrity!

Paul Duckett told reporters that he hadn't been able to confirm that Nadine Dorries was even in Australia.

But when confronted with photos of the 55-year-old in Brisbane, Mr Duckett said that "she should be in Westminster and I thought she was in Westminster".
