Rolling Stones' Ronnie Wood set for third marriage

Rocker Ronnie Wood's new fiancee has revealed that the former party animal asked his future father-in-law for her hand in marriage.

The Rolling Stones star, 65, is set to wed theatre producer Sally Humphreys, who is 31 years his junior.

Humphreys, 34, has been dating the twice-divorced guitarist for about six months and the pair have known each other for nine years.

She told the Press Association: "It is true and we're both very happy."

Asked how Wood proposed, she said: "We've known each other for a long time.

"My parents were down for the Crossfire Hurricane (Rolling Stones documentary) premiere and he asked my dad around then. Then he asked me.

"But I knew it was on the cards because we'd already talked about it."

She said of the nuptials: "The wedding will be very simple...and we haven't set a date."
