Megan Stammers, who ran away to France with her teacher Jeremy Forrest, has thanked her supporters on Twitter in her first message since returning to the UK.
French police would arrest missing Megan and teacher
ITV News has learned that French police would apprehend and arrest missing 15-year-old Megan Stammers and her maths teacher Jeremy Forrest if they were found in the country.
French state prosecutor Laurent Jaubert said the pair, who are on a list of missing people in France, would not be actively searched for by officers but they would be arrested if spotted at routine patrols.
However, Mr Jaubert said the couple were not necessarily in France and could be anywhere in Europe.
