Shooting survivor returns to UK

Surrey Police has told ITV News that Zainab al-Hilli, the seven-year-old British girl who was wounded in the Alps shootings in which her parents were killed "is returning to the UK" today. She has been in hospital being treated for a fractured skull.

British consular staff arrive in Grenoble

British consular staff arrived in Grenoble this morning and were making their way to the scene to liaise with French authorities, an FCO spokesman said.

The four-year-old girl was only found when investigators began a forensic examination of the car, with reports suggesting this was eight hours after the initial discovery.

It was also reported that the man and his family were staying at a campsite in Saint-Jorioz on the edge of Lake Annecy.
