London taxi drivers banned from protesting over Games Lane

London taxi drivers who were planning to protest over their ban from using Olympic traffic lanes have been banned by the Metropolitan Police.

The demonstration was due to be held around Hyde Park Corner at 17.00 BST, just hours before the opening ceremony of the Games.

They are now banned from protesting on any part of the Olympic Route Network from 16:00 until 03:00.
