Assad's forces 'flee parts of Homs'

Clashes between forces loyal to president Assad and the Free Syrian rebel army are continuing across Syria today, with particularly severe fighting reported in Tablisi in Homs and Damascus.

Rebel activists have posted videos showing tanks apparently fleeing the Tablisi area of Homs.

Sources have told ITV News that there has been a defection within the admin of Homs central prison which led to the killing of the head of the prison, and the freeing of around 6000 prisoners.
