Rupert Murdoch to appear at Leveson
Rupert Murdoch will appear at the Leveson Inquiry into press standards this week.
The 81-year-old News Corporation chairman will be questioned under oath about the phone-hacking scandal, his oversight of his UK newspapers and his influence on British politicians.
His appearance is expected draw crowds of protesters, but the comedian who threw a foam pie at the billionaire when he appeared gave evidence to the Commons committee last July, has said he will not be attending.
Pie thrower Jonathan May-Bowles said he expected the Leveson Inquiry to "do something big and important" but that:
"I have got no plans to attend - I haven't been invited. I have the feeling I may not be welcome."
The media tycoon will give evidence on Wednesday and Thursday.
