Japanese tsunami 'ghost ship' scuttled by US Coast Guard
The US Coast Guard has deliberately sunk the fishing vessel Ryou-Un Maru by allowing water to flow into the hull by firing at it with a 25mm machine-gun.
In this photo provided by the U.S. Coast Guard, a plume of smoke rises from the derelict Japanese ship after it was hit by canon fire by a U.S. Coast Guard cutter on Thursday.
