The heartbroken family of Bradley Lowery have released a statement thanking people for their messages of love and support.

They are asking that people leave messages on a new Facebook page called 'Remembering Bradley' rather than send cards of condolence.

Bradley lost his battle with neuroblastoma, a rare childhood cancer, aged only six-years-old on Friday (7th July).

He passed away in the arms of his parents.

We want to thank everyone for their messages, they really do mean a lot. Bradley has touched so many hearts.

We are asking people, rather than send cards, to leave messages on the Remembering Bradley page, this way the messages will always be there, for us to go to whenever we need.

Thank you for your continued support. For now, we request that the family have time to themselves.

– Lynn Murphy Fundraising manager, the Bradley Lowery Foundation
