Brave Bradley loses his battle with cancer

Six-year-old Bradley Lowery, whose fight with cancer touched thousands of people around the world, has died.

The schoolboy, from Blackhall Colliery, County Durham, died on Friday with his family by his side.

Former Sunderland striker Jermain Defoe has paid an emotional tribute to his 'best friend' Bradley Lowery on his Twitter account.

The pair struck up a friendship when the six-year-old, who lost his battle with cancer on Friday (7th July), became the Sunderland mascot while Jermain was at the club.
