One person has died after a house fire in County Durham.
Firefighters rushed to the scene on Gregson Terrace, Seaham, at 3.30am on Thursday.
Three fire engines, two from Seaham and one from Peterlee, arrived and a body was discovered on the first floor of the property.
The identity of the person has not yet been confirmed.

No one else was trapped or injured in the fire.
A spokesperson for Durham Police says crews remain at the scene and a joint fire and police investigation will begin as soon as possible to establish the cause of the blaze.
