Police say the body of a man found at Hartlepool Marina is that of missing Andrew Roy, 51, from Cornwall.
A specialist police diving team searching an area of Hartlepool Marina have discovered a body.
It follows the disappearance of a man on Thursday 9th. Andrew Roy was captured on CCTV cameras around 11:15pm that night, close to Portals Place on the marina.
Whilst formal identification has not yet taken place, his family are aware and are being supported by officers.
The 51-year-old who is from Cornwall, but is currently working in Hartlepool, was reported missing after failing to turn up for work on Friday 10th.
The body was found at 1pm on Monday.
