TRAVEL: Lorry fire causes Newcastle A1 delays

There are severe delays on the northbound A1 due to a lorry on fire to the north of Newcastle.

One lane is closed near the Gosforth Park junction with queueing traffic back the Dunston / Whickham turn off.

The lorry which was carrying bottles of beer is by the side of the road.
