North East loneliness charity expands its operation

The North East Befriending Service is expanding its services aimed at tackling loneliness in older and vulnerable people.

The service includes one-to-one counselling, homes visits, shopping trips and even 'pet therapy', where cuddly pets like rabbits and cats are brought to people suffering from loneliness.
