Body found in search for missing 22 year old woman

Police searching for missing Newcastle woman Rachel Tasker say a body has been found.

Northumbria Police say a body was found during a search at around midnight.

Rachel Tasker, 22, had been reported missing by her family, and she had last been seen at her home at 1.30pm on Thursday.

Formal identification has yet to take place and the death is not being treated as suspicious.

.A report for the coroner has been prepared and Rachel's family has been informed.

A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: "We would like to express our sincere condolences to the family at this very sad time and thank members of the public who supported us in our search to find Rachel."
