Man's body found on the Northumberland coast

The body of a man has been found on the coast, near Berwick-upon-Tweed.

The discovery was made at 10.30am on Monday, at Spittal Beach.

Northumbria Police say the man was confirmed dead at the scene.

Enquiries are now taking place to establish his identity.

The death is not thought to be suspicious.
