A Flood Warning has been issued by the Environment Agency for the River Tyne at Wellbank Riverside, Corbridge.
Rain overnight and throughout this morning (Sat 26th December) has caused the River Tyne to rise. The river is out of bank and flooding low lying land and roads in several locations. River levels are rising and property flooding could be seen over the next few hours.
Rainfall is expected to continue during Saturday 26th December, meaning the River Tyne will remain high throughout the rest of the day.
