Flood warnings have been issued by the Environment Agency for the Bishop Monkton Beck at Bishop Monkton and Hovingham Beck at Hovingham, North Yorkshire as well as for Richmond, Earby, Walsden and Todmorden, and including the villages of Gauxholme, Shade and Salford.
There are flood warnings for the River Ouse in York and the River Swale at Kirby Wiske andThornton Bridge.
There are also flood alerts for Helmsley, Kirbymoorside and Pickering, North Yorkshire.

This flood warning has been issued as a result of recent heavy rainfall causing levels in the beck to rise. The current level of Bishop Monkton Beck is 0.55m. Levels have risen steadily from 2pm this afternoon. Please be aware that levels can be expected to rise further as rain is forecast to continue this evening.
