Double-decker bus catches fire with passengers inside

A double-decker bus has caught on fire in County Durham with passengers on board.

The Go North-East service was carrying six people when the fire broke out on A692 at Dipton. No one was injured.

Dramatic footage of bus burning in Co Durham

A double-decker bus travelling in difficult weather conditions has caught fire in County Durham while passengers were on board.

The blaze started as the vehicle came through the A692 at Dipton, near Stanley at around 2pm on Saturday, December 12.

Everyone was taken off the bus by the time two fire crews from Consett arrived. No one was injured during the incident.
