Stockton born actor to receive honorary degree from Teesside University

Stockton-born actor Stephen Tompkinson is one of three people to receive an honorary degree from Teesside University for his services to acting.

Also receiving degrees are Saltburn-born rock climber Steve McClure and Teesside businessman Maurice Dawson.

The trio will be honoured during the annual graduation ceremony later today
