Body of missing man Jason Creighton found

The body of a man who had been missing for over a week has been found.

Jason Creighton, from Cramlington in Northumberland, was last seen at his home address on Longridge Way on Wednesday, October 28.

Police and paramedics were called on Friday afternoon, November 6 after a man's body was discovered in a field east of Arcot Hall Golf Course, east of Beacon Lane in Cramlington.

He was declared dead at the scene by paramedics.

Jason's family were in formed and his body has now been identified.

Officers and volunteers had been searching for Jason and his family had made several media appeals since he went missing.

There is believed to be no third party involvement in the death and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
