Free open-air movies in Newcastle from next week

Monument Movies will be back in Newcastle's Grey Street next Tuesday July 21st with a showing of Disney's Frozen.

But it's not any old screening - its a sing-a-long version in which the audience are encouraged to participate. Organisers have ensured that every film on show this summer has something extra to entertain children.

There are two film screenings every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday throughout the summer starting at 12pm and 5pm (11am and 3pm on Sundays). Audiences are encouraged to arrive early to secure a deckchair which will be positioned around Grey’s Monument.

Other films on the schedule include Guardians of the Galaxy, with a superhero meet and greet, Wreck-It Ralph with an appearance from computer game hero Mario, and Space Jam with a visit from Newcastle Eagles basketball players.
