11 year-old from Byker wins Scholarship to Eton

Tyrese George from Byker has won a scholarship to Eton College, the school attended by Princes William and Harry, and 19 British Prime ministers.

Tyrese saw a programme about the school on television and signed himself up for the entrance exams.

He impressed teachers during his assessment, and will start at the school when he's thirteen.

ITV Tyne Tees spoke to Tyrese, and his head teacher Linda Bradley.
