Have you ever seen a pink pigeon?

A pink pigeon has been spotted flying around a supermarket car park.

One of our viewers got in touch on Twitter @ITVTyneTees to show us this rare or not pink pigeon.

It's been flying around Morrisons car park all week. I work in Specsavers on Church Street and it's been outside all week.

What we want to know is 'have you ever seen a pink pigeon?' and if anybody knows why they're pink that would be great too!

Get in touch on Twitter @ITVTyneTees or Facebook.

The pink pigeon is a species of Columbidae endemic to Mauritius, and is now very rare. It is the only Mascarene pigeon that has not gone extinct.
