A man from Northumberland is being hailed a hero this morning for helping to save the lives of some of the tourists targeted by a terrorist gunman in Tunisia.
Paul Short from Wooler, an ex-Territorial soldier, was on holiday with his wife. They were in their hotel room when he heard what he knew to be gunfire.
