A19 closed as caravan on fire in West Boldon

The A19 is currently closed as the police and the fire service are responding to reports of a caravan on fire in West Boldon.

Police were informed of the blaze at around 12.30pm this afternoon. The caravan is near the Testos Roundabout in West Boldon, South Tyneside.

Both the northbound and southbound lanes of the A19 are currently closed in the area and motorists are advised to expect delays.
