Body found behind Marks and Spencer in Newcastle

A body has been found on a roof top behind Marks and Spencer in Newcastle.

The man was discovered at around 3:45am today on the pitched roof at the back of the store in the Haymarket area of the city.

Police, ambulance and fire crews attended and the man's body was removed.

Enquiries have been carried out and officers believe there was no third party involvement in the man's death.
