Heathrow adorned with North East beauty spots

Picturesque North East beauty spots such as Hadrian's Wall and Bamburgh Castle are being showcased around Heathrow Airport in London.

The Airport awarded the region £1m of free advertising space, after Facebook users voted the North East photos the best in the country.

It is hoped the pictures, which could be seen by millions of people, will encourage more tourists to visit.
