Full report: Sunderland karate fighters go to European Championships

It may not have been one the best of years so far for sports fans in Sunderland.

However, while European glory may be the last thing on the mind of the city's football team, one club is leading the way on the international stage.

Four members of the Sendai Kushiro Karate Team and one member of the Ronin Karate Club have just returned from the European Karate Championships in Portugal. As Kenny Toal reports it was a successful trip.
