Farage pulls out of North East event because of back problem

The leader of the UK Independence Party was forced to pull out of his party's first North East conference because of a back problem.

Nigel Farage was due to attend the gathering in Tynemouth today. (16th November)

His party says Mr Farage will have an operation next week, to deal with injuries he suffered following a general election day plane crash in 2010.
