£3m for Newcastle man hit by priest in Rome crash
A recruitment consultant from Newcastle upon Tyne who suffered "catastrophic injuries" when he was hit by a car driven by a priest is to get more than £3m compensation, a High Court judge was told.
James Kennedy, 37, of Gosforth, will receive a £3m lump sum plus annual payments of £210,000 for life.
The settlement was agreed with the insurers of Welsh priest, Father John Cole.
He was driving a Peugeot down the Corso Vittorio Emmanuele in Rome, Italy when the crash happened in January 2006.
